Frequently Asked Questions

  • This complimentary 15-minute phone call is a relaxed, no-pressure chat for us to see if we're a good match.

It’s not a therapy session—it’s a time for you to ask questions about my approach, get a feel for my style, and share a bit about what you’re looking for in a therapist.

The most important thing is that you feel comfortable and confident in your choice to move forward. Finding the right therapist is all about the connection, and this is our chance to see if we have it.

  • I am in-network with the Aetna and Anthem Blue Cross California via Headway.

Otherwise, I operate as an out-of-network provider. If you don’t have Aetna or Anthem Blue Cross CA, I can provide you with a monthly superbill that you can use to seek reimbursement if you have out-of-network benefits. I am happy to walk you through how this process works.

  • My fee are as follows:

    • $200 per 50-minute individual therapy session (telehealth)

    • $185 per 45-minute walk & talk session (outdoors)

    • $75 per 90-minute DBT group session (telehealth)

    Payment Methods:

For your convenience and security, all payments are processed electronically through my client portal on SimplePractice. I accept all major credit cards, as well as FSA (Flexible Spending Account) and HSA (Health Savings Account) cards.

Payment is due at the time of service. Your card on file will be charged automatically on the day of your session.

    Cancellation Policy:

If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please provide at least 24-hour notice. Sessions canceled with less notice will be charged the full session fee.

    "Good Faith Estimate" Notice:

Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a "Good Faith Estimate" explaining how much your mental health care will cost. I will provide this to you before our first session and upon request.

  • Think of our first few sessions as drawing a map together. My main goal is to listen deeply and get to know you: I'll ask questions about your background, your current challenges, and your hopes for the future. This helps me understand the full picture of your life.

At the same time, it’s your chance to see how I work and decide if I'm the right guide for your journey. By the end of this initial phase, we'll have a shared understanding of where you are, where you'd like to go, and how we can collaborate to get there.

  • People often come weekly as this provides a sense of continuity and it helps build the relationship as well.

It is natural for folks to transition into a bi-weekly or monthly session if they are feeling better. This is flexible and something that we work on together.

  • Please note that I am licensed to practice psychotherapy only in the state of California. Telehealth services are available exclusively to clients who are physically located in California at the time of session.

  • If we discover that I'm not the right fit for you, my priority is to help you find someone who is, and I will gladly provide referrals to other trusted therapists.
